Abstract

Fifty-five primiparous caucasian women completed the Spielberger State/Trait Anxiety Self Evaluation Inventory (Spielberger et al 1970). The State inventory was completed three times during labor and once 20 minutes after delivery. The Trait inventory was completed, also at the start of labor and again six weeks post partum.
