Plasma Confinement in Closed Magnetic Systems

  • Chapter
Reviews of Plasma Physics

Abstract

This review is devoted to a theoretical analysis of magnetic-field configurations used for plasma confinement. It is well known that plasma-confinement configurations can be divided into two classes: open configurations (including adiabatic traps), and closed or toroidal configurations [1].
