The calendering process, used in the production of plastic film and sheet, is a continuous, synchronized method for converting raw materials, fusing them and passing them through nips of a series of cooperating rolls, into a sheet of specified thickness and width. This web may be polished or embossed, as required, and may be of either a rigid or a flexible character, with the “hand” controlled by the formulation and the process.
