Abstract
The construction of Novette began in September of 1981 with the deactivation of the Argus laser. This winter, Novette’s on-target laser energy at 0.53 µm will exceed 10 kJ in pulse lengths of 1.0 to 5.0 nsec.
Work performed under the auspices of the U. S. Department of Energy by the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory under contract number W-7405-ENG-48.
