Bag Molding Processes

  • Chapter
Book cover Handbook of Composites

Abstract

Bag molding fiber-reinforced organic matrix composites and bonded structures comply with different standards of quality and different criteria for reproducibility. The uses of composites range from adornments and decorative architectural panels to complex, efficient load-carrying structures. The bag molded composites that perform adequately and are competitive with alternate types of constructions most often result from optimizations of process adaptations and design refinements.
