Abstract
The general field of pulsed-laser/material interaction is vast, even excluding conditions pertaining to inertial-confinement fusion. This paper is not intended as a complete review of the field, but rather as a summary of two specific examples chosen to be representative of the work in the field with emphasis on testing carried out on lasers at Avco-Everett.
