Effect of Drugs on Bile Acid Metabolism

So far there have been few attempts to study the effect of drugs on bile acid metabolism in a systematic manner. This lack of data can be ascribed at least in part to difficulties of methodology (preparation of bile fistula animals, qualitative and quantitative determination of bile acids). Since many of these methodological difficulties have now largely been overcome, we can look forward to obtaining more, and increasingly useful information in this field.
