Abstract
The Babu-Brown1 induced interaction model has recently been enjoying considerable success. It has been applied to liquid 3He,2,3 spin polarized 3He,4 3He-4He mixtures,5 paramagnetic metals,2 and heavy Fermion systems.6 The approach of this model is to treat the particle-hole reducible interaction explicitly by summing all one-particle-one-hole reducible diagrams to all orders. Thus this method is best at describing deformations and excitations about the Fermi surface.
