Abstract
Skin biopsies of one male and one female animal were kindly provided by Dr. C. Gray, National Zoological Park, Washington, D.C., USA. The typical feline marker chromosomes are the first autosomes in the fourth row.
It is of interest to note that in jaguarundi, all chromosomes are biarmed yet the diploid number remains 38, the same as that of most cats, which possess one or two pairs of acrocentrics.
