Abstract

Skin biopsies of one male and one female sun bear were kindly supplied by Dr. C. Gray, the National Zoological Park, Washington, D.C., USA. They gave similar results and the karyotype is similar to that of other Northern hemisphere bears. The second largest acrocentric autosomal pair often shows a secondary constriction near the centromere.
