Abstract
When The Economist assessed the Central and Eastern Europe transformation on September 21, 1991: “The Czech mass privatization scheme appears to be very successful, but it, however, doesn’t create the right market economy. The element that is missing is an efficient financial industry—the heart of modern capitalism.” Beyond any doubt it’s proved to be a crucial statement for all of Central and Eastern Europe, and a relevant analysis should be made.
