Abstract

So we have arrived at a situation where the certificate has been achieved, celebration quite rightly has been enjoyed, and it might be thought that apart from maintaining the practices and satisfying the surveillance assessments, there is nothing more to be done. A common error, when in reality achievement of the ISO 9001 certificate gives the company a system to be used and built upon, leading to exciting possibilities — namely progression to total quality management (TQM) practices. The time has come to use the system to the benefit of all.
