Abstract

In this book, we have provided an overview of issues relevant to child clinicians and others concerned with clinical practice in a managed are environment. It is our belief that managed are can be a minefield through which everybody must step carefully in order for clinicians to provide patients to receive qualitity services. We have reviewed several relevant legal and ethical concerns, with the ongoing caveat to consult an attorney before committing to any legally binding arrangements and whenever the clinician is unsure of the implications of procedures, contracts, relationships, or state and federal laws.
