Abstract
The physical examination of the patient with pulmonary complaints should include the techniques of inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. However, because the pulmonary system has important interactions with many other organ systems, it is imperative to obtain a complete history and physical examination in order to fully evaluate the patient with pulmonary complaints.
