Abstract
In this chapter we present a new formulation of the circuit synthesis problem. This formulation overcomes the limitations of the nominal synthesis formulations that we described in the previous chapter. We begin this chapter with a description of the goals of our formulation. We then introduce the concept of the range variable and state the mathematical formulation of the variation tolerant circuit synthesis problem. Finally we present an example to clarify the components of this formulation.
