Abstract
In the previous chapter, we described the algorithms used to minimize a cost function, C (x), carefully constructed so that its minimum value occurs when x, the component and voltage values in the circuit, specifies an optimal design of the circuit to synthesize. In this chapter, we describe the algorithms used to compile the circuit description given by the user into code that evaluates C (x). We first discuss the problem description generally, and the information the user must provide. We then discuss the algorithms used to analyze this description. Finally, we discuss the code generation process itself.
