Abstract
According to Barker and Wright (1955, p. 9), “behavior settings are prominent units of extra-individual behavior identified with a high degree of agreement by independent observers… They are features of the phenomenal worlds of both laymen and scientists, and a description of the community in terms of behavior settings corresponds to common experience.”
