Abstract

System life cycle performance is used for optimal design of the system both in a technical, financial and environmental context. The life cycle is based on future scenarios, which are uncertain. The effect of uncertainties, both in the scenarios, in the performance prediction and in the life cycle model parameters. The objective function values take multiobjective requirements into account by a unified grade scale. The effect of the uncertainty on the decisions is evaluated by a statistical significance test.
