Abstract
The textual elements of your poster will inherently have an important role in communicating your scientific findings, but they will also have a considerable impact on the overall design. Text must be presented in a professional manner, either typed or printed, but textual elements should never be handwritten. In this chapter we consider the ways in which text can be manipulated to have a more pleasing appearance that tempts the viewers to read, how it can be made to fit into specific areas that are available in the poster, and how it can be effectively incorporated as part of the overall poster design.
