Abstract
This chapter presents the empirical results of this study. We discuss the results for each of the three regions separately in the order in which we estimated our model, i.e. first for the United States and afterwards for Japan and Europe. Hence, this chapter focuses on the empirical results per region; the next chapter provides an interpretation of the results and reviews the international comparative perspective. For each region we discuss the results for both parts of the two-step approach. The first part involves the estimation of the various measurement models. The second part consists of testing the hypotheses and analyzing the model-fit. Section 5.2 studies long-term supply relationships in the automobile industry of the United States. Section 5.3 reviews long-term supply relationships in the automobile industry of Japan. Section 5.4 analyzes long-term supply relationships in Europe. The final section 5.5 concludes the chapter.
