Abstract
There are many obstacles and problems building up a cooperative trade and environmental policy. One of the difficulties is the fact that trade policy and environmental policies have different, often contradictory objectives, as they on many occasion tend to put forward different and even contradictory values. It is therefore quite difficult to find a way whereby the two policies can work together.
