Abstract
Report is made of the differentiated treatment of idiopathic membranous GN in 68 patients. The priority of the conventional immunosuppressive treatment with prednison and cyclophosphamide with respect to the symptomatic treatment is confirmed. It is emphasized that the idiopathic membranous GN is relatively resistant to corticosteroid treatment and that pulse therapy with cyclophosphamide is more effective than that with Urbason. In the therapeutically resistant cases administration of Sandimmun is recommended.
The possibilities for immediate therapeutic effect in patients with idiopathic membranous GN is still a matter of debate.
We should like to share our experience in this respect.
