Dielectric Response of Polypyrrole at Microwave and Infrared Frequencies
We report measurements on the dielectric properties of Polypyrrole doped with the tosylate anion in the far infrared (FIR) and microwave frequency regimes. DC electrical conductivity measurements were performed on the polypyrrole samples with a four-point probe. The samples were prepared electrochemically providing control of the doping level through reduction of the as grown film. Thin films varying in thickness from 10 to 50 microns were synthesized with dc conductivities in the range of 1 to 100 S/cm.
