Abstract

Due to better sanitation, improved nutrition, and more effective curative medicine, the health of children throughout the world has shown consistent improvement over the past 100 years, and continues to show increased improvement in the most recent decades (Doll, 1983). As a result, the majority of chronic disorders affecting children and adolescents consists largely of psychological, social, and educational problems (Graham, 1985).
