Abstract
Florence Nightingale gave nursing research a brilliant start but. after her death. nursing research lost its focus and relevance. Nursing research has recently emerged as a viable. clinically applicable force which is having a powerful impact on how we practice and becoming the key to improving nursing practice and patient outcomes.
