Reference Guarded Hot Plate Apparatus for the Determination of Steady-State Thermal Transmission Properties

  • Chapter
Compendium of Thermophysical Property Measurement Methods

Abstract

The new international standard ISO 8302 is written for both designers and users of the guarded hot plate apparatus. With this aim, following a very detailed analysis, the standard gives:

  • The requirements for design and construction of the apparatus as a function of desired performance.

  • The method to experimentally evaluate the actual performance.
