Abstract

Electric energy is commonly delivered to industrial users by three-phase networks at medium or high voltage. The values of medium and high voltage are defined by international standards; broadly, medium voltages range from 5 to 25 kV and high voltages range from 50 to 500 kV. Higher and lower values can be found according to local conditions.
