Adherence of Mycoplasma to Cell Surfaces

  • Chapter
Book cover Mycoplasma Cell Membranes

Part of the book series: Subcellular Biochemistry ((SCBI,volume 20))

Abstract

Many of the 114 mycoplasma species known to date (Tully, 1993) have been found to adhere to host cells. The majority of the species are parasites and pathogens.
