Abstract

Altogether, forty sediment samples from Site BT-14 and from Tr. 3/86 at the Pool in Section BT-A were processed for diatoms. In the first phase of laboratory preparation, K. Szeroczyńska processed 18 samples from the deep-water section of the Pool in Tr. 3/86, following the methods described by Siemińska (1964). The samples yielded very few diatoms, so an additional 22 sediment samples, taken from the near-shore section of the northern profile of BT-14, were processed (by K. Pietrzykowski); none of them yielded diatoms.
