Abstract
The fusion of secondary oocytes and blastomeres is a good tool for the study of the cellular events which occur during early embryo development. The secondary oocytes contain the maturation promoting factor and, therefore, it might be anticipated that the fusion of oocytes and interphase blastomeres would produce premature condensation of chromosomes (Murray, 1989; McConell, 1990).
