Abstract

This chapter concerns itself with the evaluation of the child with arthritis and related conditions. Because of its complexity, arthritis has been given a separate chapter. For the evaluation of extremity pain in general, refer to Chapter 2. Our emphasis here will be on the process of diagnosis. Treatment will be only briefly discussed. Suggestions for further reading dealing with the details of treatment of each condition are listed in the Bibliography.
