Abstract
The KARL model of expertise contains a domain layer, an inference layer, and a task layer for specifying a knowledge-based system. In this chapter, it will be shown for each layer which language primitives are offered by KARL and how the different layers are connected by KARL. The so-called Sisyphus example1 [144] will serve to illustrate each layer. A very simplified problem-solving method will be applied to solve the problem in order to simplify the example. More elaborated problem-solving methods are given in [12], [10].
