Abstract
During the development of the Nestor project various software prototypes have been launched to gain experience in realizing concepts and components from the reference architecture. In this chapter we describe the set of components that are built using conventional tools and environemnts like UNIX and C as a programming language. The goal was to integrate existing components in order to form a framework that is able to deal with the authoring and learning tasks. In the long run these components could serve as a starting point for new products that will be used to create multimedia courseware.
