The ranges shown in Figure 157 represent the span from the lowest possible levels that can be continuously produced by these instruments up to the highest levels that can be produced. In most cases, the lowest and highest output capabilities will not be in the same frequency range. In general, wind instruments exhibit their highest output capability at higher frequencies.
