Abstract
The subject of this contribution is the electromagnetic mechanical coupling of dynamic structure deformations which are caused by magnetic field forces. These deformations can cause both the wear on the used materials and high emission of noise. Therefore the prediction of these deformations is very important. The calculation process deals with the evaluation of electromagnetic field- and force- relations. These forces are both electromagnetic Lorentz forces in eddy current regions and surface force-densities on ferromagnetic materials. The finite element method is used for the process of calculation [2]. The calculation of the force distribution, the mechanical modelling of a three dimensional induction furnace and the evaluation of the deformation are presented. Finally the calculations are compared with measurements.
