Abstract
The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is as well applicable for the electrical vehicle as the asynchronous motor but needs a special design. The requirements for a large power to weight ratio combined with an extended torque/speed characteristic and a high efficiency is a considerable challenge for the motor designer. This paper is concerned with the design and the comparison of two PMSM and the test results have been built for the adequate variant.
