Abstract
Osteoporosis is a major health problem, not only in women but also in men. The skeletal effects of estrogen deficiency and replacement therapy are well established in women. More recently, it has also been recognized that androgen deficiency induces bone loss and osteoporosis in men and that this process can be reversed by androgen replacement.
