Abstract

The notions of changing application behavior in the face of limited network capabilities, dynamically adapting communication protocols, and providing network infrastructure to support adaptation are not new. Conductor’s design was influenced by its predecessors, which can be broken down into two categories: application-level approaches and network infrastructure approaches.
