Abstract

In Chapter 5, we presented the impact multipliers—that is, the analytical derivatives of the endogenous variables (growth, investment, life expectancy, infant mortality, output, and consumption) with respect to male and female literacy rates, aid and policy. As noted earlier, these derivatives are based on the reduced form equations for the endogenous variables in our model. The reduced form equations, in turn, are the negative root of the solution to the non-linear equations system, (5.1) – (5.10), outlined in Chapter 5.
