The Peripheral Nervous System

The mammalian nervous system is divisible into the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The CNS, consisting of brain and spinal cord, is linked to all parts of the body by the PNS, which transmits signals to and from the CNS.
