Abstract

Knowledge, in its different forms, is increasingly recognised as a crucial asset in modern organisations. Knowledge Management (KM) refers to the process of creating, codifying and disseminating knowledge within complex organisations, such as large companies, universities, and organisations for social and civil services. KM attracted a lot of attention and investments in the last ten years. However, the return from these investments is quite modest, and many managers and analysts are starting to manifest their disillusion.
