Abstract

West and Sheldon Keller, in agreement with Bowlby and Weiss, define the attachment relationship in adults as a diadic relation where the proximity to a specific and preferred figure is searched for or maintained to acquire a feeling of security (West and Sheldon-Keller, 1994; Bowlby, 1969; Weiss, 1982).
