Abstract

Mexico is known around the world for its immense and diverse cultural past. Pyramids such as Teotihuacan, Chichen-Itzá, and Monte Albán are only some of its more famous archaeological sites. However, few people are aware of Mexico’s vast underwater cultural legacy, which dates from pre-Hispanic times as well as from the colonial period.
