Having seen the basic way the Mobile IP works, we will now explore the components of mobile IP in details. The discussion in this chapter will include the structure of protocol messages so that the reader has much better picture of the mobile IP. The content of this chapter will be organized as follows. Section 2.2 will talk about the agent advertisement and agent discovery. Section 2.3 will be on registration. Routing and tunneling will be discussed in the subsequent sections.
