Abstract
As we approach closer to the present day, it becomes increasingly difficult to be comprehensive and objective. This chapter is something of a potpourri and includes recent important experiments, meetings, publications, and a brief glance at where high-altitude physiology and medicine may be headed. I apologize in advance for inevitable omissions.
