Abstract
Knowledge is an orderly synthesis of information; it is an abstraction of our understanding gained through experience and study. Information is an orderly collection of facts that form databases (whether in a computer or in our heads); it provides input to our processes. Information Technology is the means used to gather and manipulate data to form knowledge [20]. Wisdom depends on patient osmosis.
Where is the life we have lost in living?
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?
Where is the knowledge we have lost in information.
T.S. Eliot, “The Rock” (1934).
