Abstract
There’s a great deal of confusion about what bioidentical hormones are, and how they relate to once-standard prescriptions like Premarin, and whether they are natural or synthetic or organics. Additional confusions circle around whether bioidentical HT hormones have to be compounded at a special compounding pharmacy, whether that is a safe practice, and whether bioidentical hormones are available through ordinary prescription of FDA-regulated and manufactured hormone products.
