Abstract
Postmenopausal bleeding is the most common symptom of endometrial cancer and always requires work-up. If a woman is using sequential hormone therapy, she may have monthly bleeding, which is expected. Most postmenopausal women using hormone therapy are on continuous regimens and do not have vaginal bleeding. The risk of endometrial cancer is reduced, but not absent, with the addition of progesterone.
