Abstract
The physics of the Sun is fairly well understood [110]. We would understand it even better if we had a decent theory of convection, which turns out to be the main energy transport mechanism between the nuclear reactions at the center and the outside world [111]. Alas, we do not, the chapter shows what you can expect to record for yourself; and shows how such tools as spectroscopy and helioseismology teach us much of what we know.
