Abstract
Based on the introduction of the definitions of virtual community and virtual language learning community and the current teaching and learning situations of foreign language teachers and learners in colleges and universities, the paper puts the use of virtual community into foreign language teaching and learning and points out the advantages of them combined with the features of foreign language teaching and learning. Some suggestions are given to support the language teachers and learners to work much more effectively.
